The miniature hand puppet and marionette theaters are fascinating forms of puppetry for children to experience. The performance is complete with handcrafted stage, red velvet curtains, creative costumes, stringed or hand puppets, colorful lighting, classical music, detailed scenery, and intricate props made to scale. The program is 40-50 minutes long, consisting of a welcome and introduction, the live-voiced marionette/puppet performance, then an exciting follow-up demonstration of a character children saw perform. Audience members are each finally given a small paper puppet to take home, which they are shown how to both work and bring to life.
